Context

The engineering problem

A platform becomes difficult to operate when provisioning, delivery, security, and runtime ownership are scattered across disconnected tools.

System architecture

Architecture at a glance

A simplified map of the intended relationships in this blueprint. Integration gaps are described in the implementation scope; arrows do not establish a running deployment.

Approach

Implementation decisions

  • Terraform
  • Backstage
  • Atlantis
  • Argo CD
  • Kyverno
  • Falco
  • AWS Lambda

Compose the platform explicitly

The root Terraform configuration defines boundaries for delivery, identity, policy, cost, documentation, and observability.

Review infrastructure through Git

The Atlantis module defines workload identity and deployment resources for a pull-request infrastructure workflow.

Detect divergence

A scheduled Lambda inspects selected AWS resources and compares some security-group tags against state. This is scoped monitoring rather than a complete Terraform plan comparison.

Implementation scope

A broad integration blueprint expressed as infrastructure modules. The presence of modules does not prove an operational production platform or completed end-to-end deployment.
